Hello there,
I just got a TM23M-TM purchased on eBay. Problem is that it has 4 pins, and I assumed all GT23M's had 8 pins. Unfortunately Garmin support will not respond until Monday. My plotter only has the 8 pin socket.
I looked the serial number on Garmin's site, and indeed it is a GT23 (not a 20) with 4 pins?!?
I assume I will need to buy another unit with the correct socket, but I am quite curious on why is there a model GT23, not listed, with 4 pins. What is that for?
Anyone care to shed a light here?
Cheers.

The cable on mine ends with a 4 pin connector. Maybe there is a 4 pin to 8 pin adapter that I am missing?
It makes sense, so one does not have to make a 1/2" hole in the transom for the larger connector.

Going from a 4 pin transducer connector to the 8 pin of the sonar you can use a 4 to 8 pin cable...010-12721-00
