Default 2007 F250s to Garmin?

I bought a pair of 2007 Yamaha F250 as an upgrade to my 2000 HPDIs. My current tachs don't have engine hour displays and my old fuel management gauge intermittently power surges off when running or getting on a plane (not sure why). I would like to connect the engine data (engine hours, tach, and any other possible data) to my Garmin 721XS

What cable(s) are needed for the above setup?

Can I hook up my current yamaha fuel flow meters to the garmin and should I use another way?

Also, any recommendations on adding auto pilot to my current sea star hydraulic steering? Set ups recommended? Is there a set up the will fit in one of my gauge cut outs?

Appreciate the feedback and information THT.

The Lowrance yamaha/garmin data cable worked on my 2007 F250. Hooked it and a Garmin 94sv into a NMEA 2000 network and had all of my engine data. Hours, fuel flow, everything.

This thread has a lot of info on the subject.

the thread linked above likely has the detail to your questions somewhere in its 350 posts

the quick overview:
you have no further need for your 'mechanical' flow sensors/gauge

the ECU of each of your '2007' engines will provide fuel flow to the Garmin via NMEA 2000 -
as well as other engine parameters.

You will need a basic NMEA 2000 backbone for the Garmin,
to which the engines connect via adapter cables such as that linked above.

As for an autopilot controller,
the Garmin GHC 20, while square,
will fit in the same 'round hole' as a Yamaha fuel management gauge
