Default SIMRAD Go7 XSE screen cracked

My Go7 decided to fall off my shelf yesterday and cracked. I called Simrad and they said they do not repair these units. It is less than 2 years old. They would send out a replacement only if it were a warranty issue. I really do not want to spend another $650 on a unit because the screen is cracked.

Anyone know a place that repairs these? I googled it and only found some UK repair place and I am not sure if it is legit or not. I have a total scan transducer on my powerboat and a bracket and wiring on my other boat so I can use the head unit on both boats.

It is cracked enough that you cannot see the screen well enough to just put a protector on it and call it good.

Perhaps Max Marine here can help repair the screen.
Or Gil @ Semperfifising has G07xse units at $465.
And there may be other used units from members in the THT trading dock etc.

Thanks. I will look up Max Marine. If you cannot replace a cracked screen without spending over $400, I will not be buying another unit from Simrad.

Just to update this, I spoke with a senior tech and he said it was a flat rate $250 plus shipping charges to return and they fix it. I sent it in this morning. Here is hoping that works!

The same woman who told me I had to buy a new one answered again, but I told her I had spoken with a senior tech named Bill. Then I was on the phone with a Lucas who took down my information and had me send it in.

What was the outcome of this ? I have a unit that the screen won’t seem to calibrate properly? So if 250$ will replace screen and fix it ? Still cheaper than buying a new one.

Sorry for bring back and old thread but it is exactly what I'm going through. Mine also fell off shelf and cracked screen. It continues to work but I would like it fixed. Called their customer service and was told they could not help but they would put in a case#ID and transfer me...on hold for 30+ minutes, called back and next guy got me on hold right now. But both people I spoke to told me they do not fix or replace screen on the units. So I told them about this thread. They asked for the "case#" You happen to have it? Would be a real help.

Thanks Mike
