Default Thru hull transducer options

Hey y'all! I have a 1978 240 Sea Ray Sedan bridge that I am restoring/rebuilding. I have a Lowrance HDS 12 with the total scan transducer. This boat is not my primary fishing vessel, but when I do fish it is in CA typically less than 300 ft for rockfish near shore, or offshore several miles trolling for tuna.

After installing an outboard bracket with a swim step, it basically eliminated my transom mount wiring. Now, I could redrill, but I am not sure how the waterline is going to be with the bottom edge of my bracket, and am thinking of going with a thru hull.

Any clever ideas for bracket mounting and running the transducer cable with the engine rigging, or recommendations which thru hull transducer I should use? Bilge access and installing space is not an issue, not sure of deadrise, but I know it is greater than 15 deg, will measure when I get home.

Thanks

They make a thru-hull TotalScan. At this point, the new Active Imaging transducers may only be available now.
