How deep are you need to see targets?

For one...the Striker Plus 7 is only 500 watt Mid and High CHIRP..not capable of Low.
To get the best out of the 1 kw B175M..one would need to fire the full 1 kw...and with a Striker 7...the B175M may default to 50/200 kHz..you probably cannot fire CHIRP.

Here is the Garmin link to the recommended ducers for that unit.

Thanks for the help!
The max depth is 400, but usual bottom fishing is under 300.
When inshore, its usually 100 feet looking for bait. Looking for thru-hull with the Chirp. in my haste, think i might have started with the right unit- ugg!

Looks like the GT23 is missing the sideview?

thanks again for help. I guess its hard b/c i am not sure what the overall power and pins on the unit are. I'm sure i am missing something here, but looking to get the best traducer to get the most out of this unit? I primarily use CHIRP feature.

I do have a second sounder on the (740S with gps, sounder, radar combo) but have not had much luck with that one finding fish.

Your current Striker 7s is a 500 watt unit.
It ships with a 12 to 4 pin adapter cable.
