Default Yamaha wiring question

I want to hook up Standard fuel flow F-41 so it will only come on when the key is on, rather than to the main bus. What color wire out of the back of the key is for accessaries to come on when the ket is on? Thanks

You will find a yellow wire with a bullet connector that is hot when the key is on.
There should be a couple of bullet connectors that have not been used since you do not have the Yamaha fuel management as well as a ground with a bullet connector. I suggest to get bullet connections instead of butt splicing, I cannot tell you why but it makes it easy to take out and I have never had a Yamaha bullet connection corrode.

Default Yamaha wiring question

I concur with flieman.

I installed a Standard FF41 this winter. Found the unused positive and negative female bullet connectors in the Yamaha wiring harness to the other instruments. Simply crimped male bullet connectors on the leads from the FF41, plugged them in, and now the FF41 powers up with the other engine instruments.
