Default connecting lowrance elite7 hdi to yamaha 6y8 command link network

I have 2014 Yami F115 with a 6y8 command link network with a tach and speed/fuel gauge. I am trying to connect my Lowrance Elite 7 HDI to the command link network to obtain GPS speed on the command link gauge via the NMEA 183 connection on the Lowrance Elite 7. The NMEA connection wire from the Lowrance has (5) wires in the cable but the Yamaha command link GPS connection cable only has (2) wires in the cable. Can the Lowrance connect to the Yamaha network to obtain speed over ground and, if so, which wires from the GPS would connect to the (2) GPS wires on the network. Any help would be appreciated.

This is the Yamaha diagram of the connection

this is the NMEA 0183 schematic from (what I believe to be) the Elite Install Manual (you can double check)

the Yamaha "receives", you want to connect to the Elite "transmit"(TX)
and connect negative (aka ground aka "B") to negative,
positive (aka "A") to positive

p.s. for the record, you are not connecting to the Yamaha CL "network" -
simply connecting NMEA 0183 data input (which is not a network, either)
to the CL gauge

you may need to go into the Elite menu to "enable" NMEA 0183 output -
and, perhaps, specifically the "RMC" sentence (the only one the Yamaha needs)
