Did you set up the transducer correctly in the settings menu? Choose Totalscan if running that transducer. I assume you are in the water when testing?

GO7xse should automatically detect the Totalscan. When you check the sonar setup Totalscan should be greyed out and not be able to be changed.

Thats correct I initially selected it before hooking up the transducer then while I was on the water and. Checked my settings to see if maybe I had selected the wrong one it would not give me the option to change and was greyed out.

Same thing happened to me. I set it up prior to connecting the transducer. I believe I chose Totalscan M/H too and sidescan didn't work either. Tried to change the transducer setting to the other Totalscan setting but couldn't. So i disconnected the transducer and changed the setting manually, then reconnected the transducer and it worked.

Default Issue resolved

I talked to Simrad customer service. I disconnected the transducer and reconnected it then set my frequency to 83 or 200 under the echo settings. The side scan function will not work when the echo is set on medium or high chirp.

The simrad customer service representative also answered a frequently debated question. Will running the totalscan transducer out of water damage the transducer? Their answer was no...but I am still going to pause these functions when I have the boat out of the water if I am messing with the unit.

I have a somewhat similar issue with the side imaging - mine only displays the left side - the right side is dark - very odd.

the new update causes it to lose the transducer type, goto echo under settings and change it back to totalscan m/h

My issue is backward. Sidescan and downscan work but not sonar. Doesn’t even show the depth on the sonar screen
