Default Transducer for dual 7610xsv

I am installing dual 7610xsv's in my boat and need to know the best transom mount transducer to use. I want one that can do everything (sidevu, CHIRP etc) for both screens. Most of my use will be in less than 1000 ft. Thanks

The best side scan transdcuer is the GT51....but its limits for structure scan is less than 200'...
The GT51 also has a built in traditioanl CHIRP 600 watt element..and for targets (Fish) to about 500' and bottom deeper.

You can use a thru hull B175M and the GT51 both on a 7610xsv unit.....the B175M will give very good results deep...to about 800' and bottom deeper..
The B175HW excellent for targets in the water column down to about 600'

I see a GT51 and a CV51. Is there a difference? Is one a newer version of the other?

The cv does not have a dedicated Down structure element..and the GT version has a dedicated structure down element.
Both have the same side scan and traditional element.

So if you want the best Structure scan down element the Gt is better

I am having a hard time tracking down a GT51 transom mount. Does anyone have a lead on where one might be?

That seems to be a common problem in the marine industry right now. I've had similar problems with getting parts from Yamaha too. I did purchase one off Ebay.. Thanks again for your help.

Well I thought I got one on Ebay.. The person emailed me back today and said the item was back ordered until September, so I am still looking for one if someone could help me find one. Or is there another one that is just as good?

How about a GT50 since it seems impossible to find a GT51?

Will a GT50 be the next best thing to the GT51?

I have a GT-23 TM. It works like a charm. However, I understand they too are becoming had to find since Garmin switched to the "CV" stuff

Are you referring to the Structure or the Traditional ?

It's CHIRP traditional is very good to 500' for targets.. and deeper for bottom

the GT50 is good but also hard to find.

You can use a GT30..they are available ...into the 12 pin port...for side and down scan.
and a separate Traditional CHIRP into the the 8 pin port.

I have a GT51TM that I purchased from Gil in August 2017- Has been on my boat which is kept on a trailer and has been kept in the water overnight only once.
I just purchased an Airmar B175M through hull from Gil just last week and will be removing the GT51TM next Friday 6/15. Believe I still have the original box, and will come with spray shield and mount. Is in perfect condition and happy to send photos as desired. Send me a DM if you would be interested in a lightly used unit and we can work out a price.
