Default GarminTransducer

Has anyone used the Garmin B175 HW wide chirp transducer?
Airmar site says it is 1KW for 1000’. Garmin site says 1KW for 600’.
Anyone know for sure which is true?
Thanks

The HW can reach bottom at 1000' depending on conditions...but for targets ( fish) 500-600' is considered the lower range..from there down the B175M is better.
