Default Trouble shooting Simrad AP 24

Last trip out everything was working great. Turned the unit on in the morning and it appears to be fine but no longer steers the boat. You can change the settings but the boat doesn't respond. Any suggestions?

I haven't done one since I am not aware of how to do it. I currently have the boat on the trailer.

i dont know with the ap24 but using my evo2, I go into settings > autopilot > calibrate (i think, i dont have it in front of me, its pretty obvious once you are in there) and then choose dockside. You can do this on the trailer as it goes through a bunch of tests to calibrate rudder and feedback unit. It should then try and turn the engine (or rudder). OR you will get an error.

Instead of starting the full dockside calibration, you can simply press and hold the left or right (port or stbd) buttons and the engine(s) should turn in that direction. If not, then either the pump has no power or is not getting the command from the system. I assume you can still steer manually, so likely not a hydraulic system problem.

See the bottom four entries on the chart on page 6 of the manual for "Enable Power Steering: https://www.boatoon.com/en/shop/deta...-alleine-4523/ An easy first check of the system, even on the trailer.

Yes I can still steer manually. I am not familiar with the system. Is the pump usually near the steering wheel?
