I've used a couple of them over the years. They work and don't seem to harm the VHF performance (but there's no good way to tell). They only seem to last a year or so - at least for me. The little darlings cost about $40. Luck. Dale

Those splitters won't harm your VHF performance, as far as I can tell, but they are NOT a good solution for your AM/FM.

I had the splitter/combiner, and use the 8 foot 6db SH VHF antenna, and could NOT get the local public radio station in the Galveston channel (had to switch over to commercial radio ) In my new array, I put the 4-foot Digital Antenna AM/FM straight to the tunes, and the same SH antenna straight to the VHF.

With the new setup, I was getting that station at oil rigs 10-14 miles out this past weekend - in stereo. MUCH better!! Radio check was loud and clear at 16 miles. Captain and crew are happy.
