Default Taco LED Tube Light

About 15 months ago (i.e. out of warranty) I installed a pair of Taco LED tube lights to replace the original flourescent T-top courtesy lights. The new LEDs have a push-button toggle switch on one end that allows the light to be switched from white to blue to off. On one light the toggle switch no longer works. It feels right, clicks, but the light stays white and doesn't change state. Its just another $60 to replace and some new heat shrink terminations, but has anyone used these lights and seen this? Any way to mechanically fix the broke switch? Are these Taco lights durable for years or are they cheap Chinese crap?

Call Taco they are usually pretty good with customer service issues.

That said I’m interested to hear other responses, as I just purchased 2 of these myself...

I just ordered one, can these be installed direct to the battery since they have a switch on them? looking to use the white and blue independently

Looks like yes per the instructions.

I will be installing mine to a 3 way toggle switch. (white - red), just wire the white to pole 1 of the switch and the blue in your case to pole 2 of the switch.

I e-mailed from the website, no response. I'll try calling. If I learn anything I'll post.

I've read numerous complaints about this light failing.

I just installed one. Considering the old one florescent tube hasn't worked in years... I'm not too stressed about it!
