Default Are there ones that do both land and sea

I am interested in a GPS that has available maps for both land and sea. I understand that the GPS provides a location based on sats and that it does not care if you are on land or water. What I have seen are several inexpensive units for use in getting from my house to your house. At BPS they have several that have maps for US waters and are also portable. I would like to have one that I can use getting tot he marina, house etc and then get in my boat and use it to get to the spot I was at last week.

Sorry if this is an old question that has been run into the ground but I would like to learn as much as I can before I spend the bucks.

Thanks

Lejon

After a quick look, the 478 is a good unit for that price. I have a 276c w/ topo maps, and City Select, and no Blue Chart. I don't know about "City Navigator", but City Select is as good as it gets. The GPS, topo maps, auto kit (with C.S.) cost me @ $1000. I don't have the room for all the streets at once, so the 478 beats it there. And I can't add weather. I really like mine. I've used it all over the country, and all around the S.E. LA marsh, and it performs well. One downside is the small screen, which I think is the same for both. Again, the 478 looks good.

Very cool. Thanks for the info.

It looks like the Garmin 478 is the one to go with.

Again

Thanks
