Default "Android Layer" in RayMarine Lighthouse 3

Does anyone know what Ben Ellison was referring to on Panbo, when he mentioned in the Feb. article on the the new Ray Axiom "While there's lots to LightHouse 3 (even an "Android layer" for you geeks keeping track),"
I have searched the web and here at THT and can find no other references to this. Anyone have any idea on this? Third party application "layer" possibly? Would be super useful if you could install Android apps in LightHouse 3...

Lighthouse 3 is running Android as OS. To my knowledge it's embedded so the user can't run normal Android apps.

I emailed Ben Ellison and asked what he meant. We'll see what he says.... The new Axiom Pro has plenty of processor power, memory and gesture touchscreen and if it does run on the Android OS, it would seem logical that Ray could build in a "layer" of the OS that would allow third party apps to run without effecting any other operations of the system. This would be an incredibly useful option on the Axiom...opens up a whole new world of possibilities for the the unit. I'm no IT person, but it seems logical to me.
