Default Transducer issues Airmar B744

Hey guys, so here's my on going issue. I have a Garmin 5212 connected via a Garmin GSD 22 to an Airmar bv744 producer. Now I've had issues for months now, first it only read one frequency, no temperature. Then it started giving false bottom readings, and the temperature is though the roof, and to finish off I know have no bottom readings at all. The transducer is pinging properly, and the GSD is flashing green, meaning it's communicating with the transducer. What on earth is the problem? Is my transducer broken, or is it the GSD unit?
This is my charter boat, so I really need to get this fixed asap. I live on an island in the gulf of Thailand, so it's not possible to get it looked at by anyone except me pretty much.

I've heard about checking the fluid level in the transducer? But I can't find anything anywhere that has information on this?

Temp sensors go bad in the often. You can get a replacement insert which now has temp included for about $120.

As for bad reading, I have seen the wires get worn thru where they enter the ducer itself.

I'm not sure if a bad temp sensor would affect my bottom readings though would it? It's been getting progressively worse over the last year. Before I could do 45mph and still get clear bottom readings, now I have nothing. So you guys think it's the transducer and not the GSD 22?

I had a b744 start loosing bottom intermittently and then over time stoped showing anything. Pulled the ducer and found as I described above, the wires were wearing thru in the stem. Replaced with B765 as it fills the 2" hole.

Sounds like u have a few wires jacked up

I have little faith in a GSD-22 as it ages...
