Default new electronics recommendation

Hi just a purchased a new to me Albemarle 248, looking for a chartplotter/sounder and radar package. I am a furuno guy, have been out of boating for a few years, any other recommendations?

Furuno makes great stuff if you use it every day and can learn all of the settings on it.

Garmin is what I use for the simplicity.

I think if you narrow down what manufacturer you want, we can give you some good suggestions.

Look closely at Simrad 3G Broadband radar. First new technology since WWII pulse radars. A true HD signal, with outstanding resolution. Draws only about 1/2 amp of current -- no big power cord needed. You will be able to see objects 25 feet in front of you, and no false clutter.

Yes, I do have one.

Furuno NXT if you care about MARPA functionality. Google PANBO's reviews on it.

Furuno can be had right now with an awesome rebate that's ending in a few days.
For the most intuitive, the Garmin is my suggestion.
