Default Garmin options

I recently purchased a boat that came with a single GARMIN GPSMAP® 1222xsv complete with radar and sonar. I also have a garmin 740s i kept from my old boat.. My questioning is would it make sense to install the 740s. Would i be able to connect them? Would i be able to gust run the 740 just for sonar and leave the bigger display for gps and radar? another option would be ti put the 740 in the electronics box for a back up gps and thats it.

Its ok to tell me it doesn't make sense and the one unit is fine. I just want to know my options and might be a winter project.

The 1222XSV is a far more capable unit regarding the sounder. You could network but will only share the numerical value of the depth not the fish finding.
