Default has anyone tried these

i wanted to try a underwater camera for checking out the bottom in about 100 feet of water. i was trying to keep it around 100$ because i know im gonna use it about 5 times and then its going to sit in the garage. i also know this one only has 65 feet of cable but i figure your looking down on the bottom and 100 feet is the max ill really need. thanks for the input

My guess is you only get about 4-6 uses out of the camera before it implodes, so it’ll be perfect for you.

I don't have that U/W cam, but have 2 others mentioned here:
Underwater Camera Live Feed

If you are trying to view the bottom with maybe 60' of cable in the water, I hope you are stopped and have little wind or current and are in an area where U/W visibility is superb.
Up here in the NE , even with a heavy weight I can only get a glimpse of the bottom at 95-100' depth with the 100' of cable. Here the cam usually needs to be within about 3-5' of the bottom for any decent clarity of view on the topside screen.

Wish these cams I have came with 150-200' of cable.
If the boat is underway at min. idle speed to cover more bottom , the cam and cable with heavier weight attached of course stream way behind the boat so around here the cam would only be useful checking bottom in much shallower water, say 25 ' or so.

The chances of seeing the bottom at 100' with only 60' of cable is slim even with very clear water, especially with a wide angle lens.

Buy an sjcam 4000 for $70. Tie it onto a old senator with heavy line and drop it to the bottom. Reel it up and replay the video on the camera screen or........ take out the memory card and put it in your phone or ipad and watch the HD version.... I realize this is not the best option when trolling around looking for spots but it would work good for checking specific spots.

I have this camera and it works well, also have a hero 3 black.
