Default Stainless Thru Hull Transducers

I've noticed that a lot of the Transducers for the Simrad/Navico have gone to stainless from bronze, the 75's and 175's series specifically. I have seen a lot of comments recently about stainless being a bad choice for under water line application. Is this a problem for a fiberglass hull that is lift kept and typically not sitting in the water for days? Why is Airmar going stainless then? Some of the major boat manufacturers and many dealers don't seem to hesitate installing these. I guess what I am getting at is am I better off finding a NOS bronze transducer?

Stainless transducers have been around for many years...for example: Airmar's SS264 Pair.

And if you are concerned ..there are Bronze B75 and B175 transducers for NAVICO in the 7 pin Blue or 9 pin with Mix and Match cables from Airmar.
