Default Simrad GO7 transducer recommendations

Recently purchased a GO7 with the total scan transducer. Unless I fabricate a custom mount I just don't have the room to mount the total scan transducer. Looking for recommendations on other transducers. Boat is primarily used for inshore & coastal fishing on the central FL gulf coast. Thanks in advance.

83/200 KHz HDI has the same 2D element as TotalScan, and has DownScan, but not SideScan.

New transducers are on their way.Thru hull variants of TotalScan both Low-High and Medium-High, it's unknown if they are using the HDI elements or if this is low Q-factor high quality 2D elements. I assume we soon will see a Low-High TotalScan transom mount as well.

abbor, thank you for your responses. I just need a transom mount skimmer and I cannot seem to get much info from Simrad. The provided me with part number 000-12828-001 but that does not come up on the Simrad website.

I have a SS60 hooked up to my GO9 right now. It works really well for normal sounder work. I have a Totalscan, I have just not mounted it yet. The SS60 was already installed when I bought the boat.

For a smaller transducer go for 83/200kHz HDI, this transducer has also DownScan but not SideScan.
