Default Blue Seas ACR

I'm installing a Blue Seas ACR to protect my electronics when starting the engine(Cummins 6B 370). I have a shore power charging system that charges each battery individually. Will there be any issues when the shore power is connected and the engine is not running?

the ACR by itself is not going to do any protecting. is that all you are doing?

you'd also need to redo the swtiching system to seperate the engine and house loads to different batteries.

depends on exactly how you wire it, and if you have/how you manage battery switches -

but the result could be,

that you are no longer charging the batteries individually, but rather paralleled by the ACR

that may or may not be an "issue"

If you have some concern you can pull the fuse for the ACR. The ACR will combine but I've never had an issue with my Promariner as long as both banks are connected.

Hello, depends on what charger you have and how you wire it up, you could use your charger just like the engine alternator and leave the ACR to parallel, Blue Seas make their own charger that has the ability to lock out the ACR so it can distribute charge correctly to where it is needed most. Hope this helps.
