Default Looking for total upgrade

Hey all

I'm currently sporting all northstar electronics on my 98 albemarle and I'm looking to upgrade to get into the current decade of tech. I saw a bundle package for a combo of HDS-9 Gen 3 and an HDS-7 Gen 3 with their transom skimmer for shy of $2000 but I also want to add in radar and a thru-hull. Is it worth it going with lowrance or should I be looking at other options from garmin or simrad? I would like to stay under $3500 but am flexible if I can get a lot more bang for my buck for a few more bills.

I currently do mostly inshore fishing(First season with the boat) but by next season I'll be geared up safety-wise for doing some offshore runs. So I want the ability to have a structure scan at around 200' and read out the water column in deeper waters when trolling where I'll have gear spread a good amount.

Thanks in advance.

HDS Gen3 won't be in the 2018 Lowrance lineup so I assume you will get very good prices now.

HDS Gen3 are very capable units and with the $2000 price for the 7 and 9" combo you should be able to land around $3500 with a 3G radar and a good CHIRP transducer.

I was thinking the B175 would be perfect for what I'm looking to do.
