I had the 74sv. You will like the 94 especially for that price. Still come with the GT51 transducer?

yes I believe that is the transducer model. It's a big upgrade to my gpsmap 498. Also digging around here and remembering a thread about nmea and yamaha, I've realized that I can connect my motor to the unit!

i believe as long as it has the connection to the engine, i don't see why not, most engines after 2004(don't hold me to it) should be compatible.

i couldst believe the size difference between the 7 and 4. For the money for black friday deal, it was a no brainer to go for the bigger size. Hows the sun reflection on these units, i don't have a stop yet, does it reflect, do i need a hood for it ?

Day late....dollar short. WM is out of stock. Not a bad deal if it came with the GT51TM.

Worked fine for me in direct sunlight... as long as you keep the screen clean. No top either....

Well, Ive been out twice and really like the unit. I haven't messed with any of the standard settings yet, would be curious if anyone has done that yet?

I really like the unit, its a big upgrade from my previous Lowrance 7 elite. Screen is very easy to read, love i can read depth and other info in sunlight when I'm fishing off the back of the boat. Like the GPS data that is on screen (confirmed that my boat speed gauge was pretty accurate). The charts are great, and everything seems pretty intuitive to use. I'm going to start using the make a map feature soon, figure that will be super useful when I'm getting into the real skinny water.

I'm going to make a separate post on this, the only issue I have is the transducer seems to create a bit of a wake.

Cheers

The ones that I have seen bundled are shipped with the newer CV51. From what I have read here, no down scan element like the GT51 has.
