Default AIS lost target alarm

I have the AIS600 and it gives me an alarm when there is a possible collision. The problem is that it give me an alarm when a target is lost too. This is really annoying and I cant find a way to remove that.
Anyone can help?

its not the AIS600 per se that is giving the alarms - its your MFD

there are menu differences model to model -

personally I haven't seen a menu option to specifically disable the "lost target" alarm -

but doesn't it only occur for a target which you have selected and "activated"?

I would think, you would then want to know if the MFD is no longer able to track it...

My 7612/sh2200 combo allows me to turn alarm off.

I have the AIS600. I have audible alarms turned off. Did that first time I entered Norfolk harbor during Harborfest and had 100 alarms going off all at once....

I can see the projected collisions on the MFD, don't need the audible alarm.

I have the 4010 and dont have option to turn Lost target alarm off.
I do not activate any targets manually but the problem happens mostly when entering/leaving port.
I can disable alarm but sometimes I anchor outside port and find the alarm usefull when a ship is passing nearby since I dont have a radar.
