Default Updating electronics worth it?

Alright, I'm just trying to justify the cost here. Currently I am running a Furuno Navnet on my boat. It came with the boat so its all 2005 tech. I got one screen, with radar and a thru hull.

I'm looking to upgrade to the Simrad NSS. Dual 12 inch screens, radar, the works. My question I guess is how much does the side scan and down view and all that really help with seeing and locating wrecks and what not on the bottom? Is it all that its cracked up to be and how well are they at picking up fish? Pretty much all my fishing is off the SC coast well off shore.

Worth the money to upgrade?

Sidescan , especially 3D sidescan is def worth it imo. Im always amazed with it and so are others who are on the boat. It shows fish really well and also neat when a Manatee cruises under the boat lol

Bigger screens are always nicer then small screens. I use my side scan sometimes but rarely as I have most of my bottom spots pretty wired. There is a pretty good market for your old gear so you can recover some money back.
