Default looking to replace a Garmin 3210

I have a Garmin 3210 unit that is no longer working, looking to replace it and would appreciate advice. Fish out of Hatteras on a 22 foot center console cat boat usually trolling for dolphin/wahoo etc., sometimes bottom fishing. Looking at a Garmin 7610xsv, 1042xsv or 1242xsv, figure if I am replacing the old unit I should get the newer chirp/downvu/sidevu gear.
Any suggestions?

If you go the 7610xsv.....it has two transducer ports.....8 and 12 pin
That allows you to use 2 different transducers.... if you choose.
For example:
You can use a B175C-HW / B75M etc...for trolling the water column.
And you can also use a 51-TM or 52HW-TM etc... for bottom fishing..looking at structure etc.

The 10421xsv, 1242xsv....has one 12 pin transducer port.....
So you can use either a Side Scan/Down Scan ducer..
or
Use a Traditional element ducer such as the B175 , B75 ..etc,

All these systems can use radar....and be fully networked.

Thanks for the response.

WHich is best for this application a thru-hull or transom mounted transducer? As this is a cat boat I don't think I can use a thru-hull.

Also what is the difference between the 7610 and 1042 1242? Any idea of cost?

Thanks

The only difference between the 1042xsv and 1242xsv is the screen size.
They both are button/knob and with only 1 transducer port.

The 760xsv is a touch and has 2 transducer ports.

Most Cats can mount a thru hull B75...which is a 600 watt CHIRP transducer....that will give you better results as speed increases over most transom mounts.
