Default Tilted element transducers compatible with Bottom Discrimination TZ Touch2

Is a B60 tilted element thru hull transducer compatible with a Furuno TZ Touch2 Bottom Discrimination function?

Yes...compatible.
And the Furuno part number for the B60 is: 525T-LTD..you will find it on the link below in the transducer list for TZT.

Thanks Semper

I have been researching a new MFD. I am leaning to Furuno because of the better reputation for bottom discrimination in shallow water, < 100 ft without CHIRP. I need to be able to contrast sand from flat limerock. We rarely see grouper suspended above the bottom in the NE Gulf of Mexico.

I plan to have a tilted element installed first and adding a DFF3D module and transducer in the spring with a thru hull installed on keel line.

I run a TZT2-12" with a P66, the same element as the B60, and have found the bottom discrimination to be surprisingly accurate in the Chesapeake Bay (depths less than 120'). When I fish the rock piles around the bridge, it shows rock. When I am off the beach of Sandy Point, it shows sand. When my anchor comes up filled with mud, the bottom shows mud.

Good to hear. I am leaning towards installing the B60 on my tender this winter. Still trying to find a way to best mount the TZTL before moving forward on ducer installation.
