Default Garmin transducer question

I asked this question on the Boating Forum, but I think I might get a few more responses in here...

I have a question about the mounting of a Garmin transducer. I have a 265 Grady white and I am getting ready to put a tower on it. Down below I have a Garmin 74DV with a transom mount transducer. I would like to move this unit up into the tower and get a Garmin 94SV down below (this unit comes with a transom mount transducer as well). These 2 units use a different transducer and cannot share the same one. I would like to NOT have 2 transom mount transducers if possible, and also NOT like to cut a hole for a through hull transducer. Sooooo my questions is: Can I glue the transducer for the 74DV to the inside of the hull? Has anyone done this with this type of transducer (GT21-TM)? Then I could have the transom mount one for the 94SV, and the 74DV would not be in the way. I may lose some of the DV functionality, but would the traditional sonar still work? OR is there another transducer that will work with the 74DV (4 Pin) and still provide traditional sonar?

Sorry lots of questions in there...

Gluing the 74dv ducer to the inner loose the CHIRP down vu...correct.

or even better..

Sell your 74dv and get 2 of the new echoMAP Plus units..they can share a single transducer..because they will be networkable.

Garmin sells a GT 15M-IH shoot thru hull CHIRP x-ducer but not sure of the number of pins.
