Default Furuno TZT2 and Yanmar 4LHA-DTP Tach Integration

Okay, This is for the experts.
I'm trying to decide whether to go with Simrad or Furuno on my upgrade.
I like Furuno products, but will try Simard too.

It is known that the Yanmar Tachs read high at the cruise RPM of 3,000. Mine phototach at 2850 when the Tach reads 3,000. It will cost $1,000 to purchase accurate tachs. The boat has a tower and I do not have tachs in the tower, so I'm constantly climbing up and down to adjust engine speed. If I can get tach rpm into the MFD, I can adjust from the tower.

Now the integration questions.

1- Can I hook up tach sending unit to either the TZT2 or Simrad Evo 3?
2- Would accuracy increase?
3- Do they need to be or is there a calibration procedure?
4- I think the senders are analog, do they need to be digital or NMEA 2000?

Any other thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
