Default Sonar Hub not scrolling/pausing

I have Gen 2 hds 7 and 12 connected to a sonar hub with a B175hw. I also have a TM260 connected to my HDS 12 directly (it scrolls fine at 50 khz). When I run at full speed I change to 200hz and the b175 hw scrolls fine. Most of my fishing is salmon and bottom fishing under 400 ft and it scrolls fine in high chirp under 3 mph. I have made multiple albacore tuna trips this year and when I get out in the deep I set my manual range to the top 100 or 150ft. Trolling at 7-8 mph in High Chirp mode results in a very choppy/pausing of the screen no matter what my settings(all units have the latest software). I'm normally at 70% manual gain, max ping, max scroll and color of 78-84. I'm also running my 4g radar and outboard pilot. Is this a sonar hub issue or is it the processing speed of the HDS gen 2 displays can't keep up with all the tasks? I have spent many calls with Lowrance tech support with no results or idea's on what to do.

When in deep waters and only watching the top 100-150' of the water column you should switch off Automatic mode. For Gen3 the setting is under Advanced, I don't remember where the setting is for Gen2 Touch.

Which software version is the SonarHub running?

What do you mean by automatic mode? I have the gain, color and range manually set not in any auto setting. Are you saying there is another automatic mode setting?

Sorry I forgot the Software is the 6.0. It has been doing it the last several Sonar Hub software versions dating back to last summer. I was hoping it would magically get better with one of the upgrades like the 131 temp issue did. Lowrance had me send my Sonar Hub back early on when I got it because they thought I had a bad unit when the 131 temp started. Turned out to be their software so I'm getting gun shy to send units back to them on my dime to only get the same thing sent back with no change. Tech support keeps saying that I may have a bad B175hw, but I have serious doubts about that. Airmar says it's a known Navico issue.

Would you also have the fishing mode of "fresh water" under 400ft selected? despite being in really deep water since I'm only caring about under 400ft?

Abbor,

I found the manual setting under Advanced on the G2. Should this only be used when I'm deeper than the B175HW depth capability? I can't wait to get 70 miles off shore and try it. Thanks!

I always use the General fishing mode for Lowrance. Yes there is another Automatic - Manual mode setting, the name of the setting is Manual and should be checked. What it does in Automatic mode which is default is when you set a manual range which is not including bottom it will send some pings with a lower pulse rate to track bottom to give digital depth, but most pings are with a high rate to give improved resolution. When in Manual mode it's always using a high ping rate for best resolution.

I've used SonarHub a lot at 1200-1500' with B175H-W where I'm only looking at the upper 150-200', works like a charm.

The left window of the screen shot below is SonarHub with B175H-W.

You can keep it at Manual all the time, Simrad don't have this setting and is always in "manual" mode.

You can test this by setting a manual range which is 20-30 % of the water column also in shallower waters, you will then have to control the ping rate to get rid of vertical ping noise.
