Default 98 Shamrock Pilot house transduce location

I have purchased a B175 thru hull Chirp transducer and just noticed that it says do not mount in engine compartment because heat may damage the ducer. my old transducer was mounted right next to the Starboard side nearest the stern motor mount. i had planned on placing the new one there until i read different.
now i am having a hard time finding a location that will have clean water. Anyone else out there place the chirp transducer inside the motor area and have any issues? or where did you put you thru hull transducers ??

i am arguing with myself saying, The transducer is lower than the motor and heat rises, the Shamrock motor housing is much larger then most. if i put transducer in transom area then i have the exhaust pipes running near it.:bashhh :

give me your thoughts!!!!

Thanks
Chris
