Default A few Garmin questions

I have a Garmin 73SV and a few questions as I'm getting used to it (previously always had Lowrance):

- Is there a way to view Garmin mapping online for specific areas? I've been net searching and came up with nada. If the only answer is thru Garmin Express, I'll have to wait till I get a new laptop. Current 10 yo Dell is on it's last legs so I'm holding off setting up Express, updating my unit, etc. I don't/won't clutter up my office computer with anything non-business.

If there is not, could someone with the US G2 mapping provide some screen shots for the Chesapeake Bay? Upper Bay like Annapolis area & Saxis, VA areas would be much appreciated. I'd just like to see what it looks like before pulling the trigger buying the G2 card.

- If I buy additional mapping on a micro-SD, I presume I will not be able to add Quickdraw contours mapping without removing the G2 card and putting in my blank card. Correct or incorrect?

- I know I've read it here before, but failed to find it again with a search.... what steps do I need to take to set up a blank card for Quickdraw and what is the appropriate card to buy.

Thanks for any help.

from the Garmin site:

"Map data can be captured on any SD card, including Garmin LakeVü™ HD Ultra maps, BlueChart® g2 HD charts or BlueChart® g2 Vision® HD charts. "

https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/543340

If you prefer to remove the map card and use another, it must be no larger than 32 gig, and formatted to FAT32

You can view the maps from your mfd, or any of the premium cards, by first copying them to the sd card, then running HomePort with that SD card in the computer - as long as they are not 2017 maps. Homeport doesnt handle 2017 maos correctly and Garmin hasnt fixed it yet. Check your maunal for details on how to copy the map.

You can download HomePort from Garmin website.

For detailed images of any of Garmns charts, you can email the cartography department and they will send you images of any area.
