Default I need a Bahamas chart for my Garmin Echomap 94SV....

Hey Guys,
I bought I am told by Garmin that I need a HUS039R which will cover the Bahamas and Us coastal waters. Prices are all over the place online. From $160 down to $40 (from ioffer). Anyway,,,has anyone bought this and what would you guys recommend. I have never heard of ioffer but it got great reviews and seems legit.
Anyway....thanks

when you see low prices on garmin charts they are either old revisions or fake. Buyer beware.

Your Echomap 94sv already has US and bahamas charts preloaded into it.

No, the built-in Bahamas is poor on the 94sv. You need the VUS513L. Much better.

No.......I thought so too. As a matter of fact I called Garmin before I bought the unit and they told me it did.......but yesterday I went to plot my course and all I got was a rough, non detailed drawing of the islands. I called Garmin again and they told me the informed me wrong the first time and that I needed to purchase a card. I'm pretty pissed about it but I guess it's somewhat my fault for not researching it further before I made my purchase.

Anyway....so how do I know I'm getting a newer version. All Garmin said was that I need an HUS039 card. I also see an HXUS039 for a little cheaper on legit dealers. Are these the same?

I bought the SE vision HD chart off of EBay for 49.00 and I is awesome. It is last years version, but for 49 bucks I did not care. The only real issue is that my 74SV is sooooo slow to load the detailed maps, but once loaded they are 👍

Isn't that the vision card? Garmin told me that card was much more expensive and the only benefit was routing capabilities and autopilot capabilities. I don't care about either. Does that sound right?

not sure. I don't have AP, and haven't tried routing. But, I have the same unit as yours, and I verified the card part no. In front of me now. Huge difference in Bahamas. Almost as good as Navionics. I did the Ebay deal. 18 month old chart in original packaging for cheap.

ps; I see on the package "BlueChart g2 Vision". part no. 010-C0742-00. $49 shipped, he has more. it's not the latest cartography, so no legit for commercial boats, but i'm not. Got a lake vu card for the same $.

Thanks guys.....I'll go the Ebay route and may get the vision card also. I don't care if it's a couple years old either.
