Default NMEA2K strange thing is happening

I have a HDS10, Fuel Flow Sensor, Fusion MS-RA205 stereo.

The NMEA2K run is as follows:
Terminator to T to Fuel Sensor
above to T to 12V power injection
above to T to HDS10
above to T to RA205 converter cable to RA205, then T to terminator

All that works fine, no issues... But today, whilst mucking around, I find that whenever I take the RA205 connection off, I lose the whole network!? It doesn't matter if I move the terminator back towards the head unit.

Any idea why disconnection the stereo would cause the whole network to stop?

Some of the fusion radios can power the network. Because that is how their remotes get power, if you only use remotes on network. For a backbone You need A non powered cable adapter.

It also means the actual power cable is likly no longer providing power.

the RA205 definitely outputs power, if using the red cable supplied.

Fusion sells a non-powered adapter cable (or you can break off one of the pins on the red cable)

but as smac says, seems you are also not actually getting power to the regular Tee

Thanks guys! I think you are right. Would you know which pin is the one supplying the 12V? that I can break / test?

The NMEA end is male, I believe - so the left diagram below

Pin 2 - looking in with the notch at the top, the upper left pin is 12V+
