I use Platinum Plus in my Evo2 setup, it does me well for Northeast US.

I use C-map in the NE without any issues, I haven't had Navionics so I cant help you with the comparison. Maybe find a marine electronics store or wait for a boat show and look at them side by side. I switched from Standard Horizon which was CMap so I just kept the same charts and I update each season. I did look at the two at a simrad booth at a boat show and was fine with the Cmap.

I have both Navionics and C-Map on my NSO evo2. I usually run with Navionics on my main screen and C-Map on the other. C-Map had been my primary but have had some issues (chart showing wrong navigation aid colors). Also had C-Map coverage miss a 10 mile section of a river, when we were in Canada. The Navionics can be updated daily (not easy if you have to remove the SD card from under the helm each time). I try to do it every 30-45 days. C-Map update process is more complicated, with having to swap cards. I like the C-Map because it has the Active Captain data shown.
I do run the Garmin BlueChart app on my iPad because it also has the Active Captain data, updated every few days.

Recently got Navionics platinum plus for my NSS7 Evo2. Working well so far for me.
