Default where to mount simrad gs25/ lowrance point 1

I have a simrad gs25 antenna/ compass that i'm installing on my boat, problem is the manual tells me to mount 6 feet away from vhf antenna....where are some of you guys putting these things, i don't think my hardtop is 6 feet long for the required distance

I cannot help sorry but would also like a little info on mounting a point1. I would like to mount mine near the transom above the totalscan transducer. The install manual said not to install within 1 meter of the outboard. My 70hp tohatsu is 60-70cm from the where i would like to mount it. Will the outboard effect it enough to worry about?
Thanks

I mounted mine on the rear corner of the transom of a 8 1/2' wide boat with a 350 verado outboard. No issues.
If you look at internet pictures of hardtops the gps antennas are mounted on the hardtop. Walk around the marina and see how many gps antennas are mounted anywhere except the hardtop. The answer is none. Get it as far away from as much as possible on the hardtop. Ideally put it up there and turn everything on to see if there is interference prior to permanently mounting it.

I just mounted mine on top of the console. Works fine even within 6' of the vhf antenna

Default Point 1

I mounted mine on the hand rail running the cable thru the tube. I think it is performing as designed.
It is close to my Lowrance HDS 12 and a hand held VHF radio.
Sorry for the turned picture...
