Default need info for Gamin 3210 or 1040 xs

My boat is old. like me. 14 glorious years of fishing and diving. I first had a Garmin 2010c on the fly bridge and then later added a 3210c to the cabin so I could drive inside when the weather is snotty.
My 2101 c is dying on me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. its old, what can I say. My furuno 582l is also original and its giving out too.

My question is should I get a the Garmin 1040xs so that I can have a chart plotter that also has a sounder and not have to replace my Furuno? It would be nice to kill two birds with one stone.

Other question is if I do get a 1040 xs can it be used with my current Aimar trandsducer. Its an in hull tank transducer. Or should I get the transducer that matches the 1040xs.
I pretty much do mostly diving under 100ft but also bottom fish to 60 fa.

I love me 2010 and 3210, and see some for sale but I would love to be able to replace the plotter and sounder with one unit.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Aloha, Daryl

You can use most transducers with the Garmin 1040xs...just use the 8 pin adapter.
