Default Wtb Looking for a used radar

Just bought a 235 sea pro cc
Looking for a used radar for running nights through the inlet and bay. No locals in area seem to run lights on their boats. (east point, fl)
And the few hundred unlit telephone poles in the bay.
I forget where they are all at at times.
Any ideas
Was thinking furuno 1715
Anybody want to sell a used one
I run garmin chartplotters. Just thought I'd go furuno on radar.
Thanks
Ron

What Garmin plotters? you could simply add the radar to one of the Garmins

I'm a die hard Furuno fan but honestly, Brian is right. The 1715 isn't going to be any better and is probably not as good as the newer Garmin domes. Considering the fact that you can pickup a new GMR 18HD for a little over a grand, this is most certainly the route I would take.

Some of the features on the newer radars are worth spending the money on. If you are looking at a stand alone radar, look at the new Furuno 1815. You can get one for less than $2,000. It will come with a color screen and offer features like true trails and target tracking that are fantastic for seeing other boaters and the direction they are going.

Furuno 1815 8.4" Color LCD 19" 4kW Radar w-10M Cable

The Furuno UHD domes are great with detail, even at close range. Here is a shot of my radar going through downtown Annapolis yesterday. You can see all the mooring balls, with and with out boats. You can also see the football practice fields on the Naval Academy with a few people on them.

They are very good a long range too. I was watching storms the other night at 16+ miles away over the Chesapeake Bay.

Doing that you will most likely drive yourself batty with the three different operating systems.

Just liked the redundancy factor
Thought about just buying one 12 inch screen garmin to do it all. Just worried about redundancy.
Maybe 7612 with chirp xm weather radar
Then a 7607 maybe as a backup
