Default Bluetooth Music

My fusion head is on its way out. Display is blank and volume control is zero to almost max in two clicks of the knob.

The head currently feeds an amp that feeds 6 speakers.

Is there a way to Bluetooth from pandora without a head unit. I don't ever listen to am/fm or CDs etc... those head units seem overkill or useless to me.

yes. it's easy. Buy a bluetooth dongle like this

http://www.jlaudio.com/mbt-rx-marine...receiver-91126

plug it into your amp's inputs, wire up the power supply, and you're done. Connect your phone to it and rock on.

EDIT -- sorry, I forgot that you already posted a link to this item. Yes, get that.

Fusion also makes one that I've used. Lots of companies out there with them. And I've also seen amps with built in bluetooth, but since you already have the amp, no reason to buy a whole new one.

if you have to wire the dongle into 12v put it on a switch otherwise it will be running non-stop.

Not to hijack but I'm having the same issue with my RA205. How do you control zones and levels with a blue tooth dongle(BT100). I have a JL600/6 amp and currently run the amp off split RCA outputs(Two Zones) and a Sub output. Thanks Joel

I would use some Y adapters. But will continue to etch this thread to see what others say.

i used a kenwood bluetooth amp because it came with a little control box that lets you skip songs & control volume so your phone can stay in the dry box, you can still use your phone for those tasks too though. prior to that i had a fusion bluetooth antenna that plugged to the amp RCA cable inputs, & had it wired to an on/off toggle switch, now that switch is controlling the power for the kenwood amp. i love the setup, just flip the toggle on & 5 secons later the music starts playing. i'm sure there's other brands out there, i think wetsounds just released a similar product

yes here's the bluetooth thing i am talking about for Wetsounds:

& here's my kenwood:

www. nvx.com/vubt2-universal-waterproof-bluetooth-audio-receiver/

here is another option that you use your audio device to control. connect a switch to turn on the Bluetooth receiver and that will turn on your amps. I have one installed in my golf cart and work really well thru concert walls up to 40ft in my experience. My one receiver is sending signal up to four amplifiers with zero issues!

had the same setup just a fusion branded one, it worked great, except that you could only control volume by using the phone which on my boat proved to be kind of a pain when swimming at the sandbar vs. now i have the controller to be able to keep my phone in the dry box, especially handy in the rain, i'm not on a boat with a T-top though so my phone is less accessible when there's water around, i can't just stash it under the top

lifeproof phone case with a battery pack. waterproofed and plenty of juice to charge your phone twice from dead! it allows you to keep the phone nearby and not worry about draining the battery.
