Default Don't know transducer model, how to connect to Garmin box?

So if I have no idea what model transducer is on a boat how can I figure out how to connect it to my Garmin 527xs and 8 pin adapter box?

First...was the current transducer used on a CHIRP or non CHIRP system..in other worlds was it a CHIRP or not.?
Second... was model sonar / manufacturer was the current ducer used with?

The tag with part number is usually near the connector end.

Non chirp I think it's at least 10 years old. It was connected to a black/white Garmin unit with like a 4 or 5 inch screen but I don't recall the model number. It's a thru hull. There isn't a tag on it anywhere.

If you figure out what it was connected to I would think garmin would be able to tell you the function of each wire so you could wire it into your new box. Maybe even have an adapter.

The manual coming with the 8-pin adapter is showing the connection to most transducer model. If you study the colors of the wires in the current transducer and look at the documentation you should be able to find out how to connect. Most Garmin transducers have similar wire coloring, the same for most Airmar models.
