Default Thru-Hull transducer

I just took delivery on my new 38 Rampage and have decided to go with a Thru-Hull transducer. Will this read water temperature or do I need to get another trandsucer mounted to read water temp.

If the X-ducer has temp in it, it will read water surface temp.

A in hull [shoot thru] X-ducer will not read water surface temp. That will require a seperate "water temp" X-ducer. It is much smaller and look's more like a probe.
