Default What to go with? CHIRP 7" Screen or Traditional 9" Screen

I have to replace the electronics on my '88 Grady22 and am trying to decide between getting a remanufactured Garmin 94sv without CHIRP or spring for a new Raymarine es78.

Basically, is CHIRP sonar worth giving up 2 inches (giggity) of screen size and a couple hundred more bucks?

90% of our fishing is in less than 100' of water around LI Sound and NY Bight. The boat is an i/o so we won't be using sidevu/side vision nor do we plan on adding radar.

And can anyone tell me if I can connect my ipad via bluetooth to the es78 to view the screen? The description says it has "bluetooth for remote and mp3 control."

Thanks,
Dirty

Take a look at the new Raymarine Axiom...they will be very cost effective.

Thank you, Gil. The Axiom line does offer a lot of functionality for a great price. Especially that multiple profile feature since I share the boat with my uncle. I am just hesitant to go with a 100% touchscreen unit, especially on a 22' boat.
