Default Ancor zip ties problem?

I use 1000s of zip ties at work, all Panduit.

I bought a few packages of Ancor zip ties for home. They break way way to early. These are 1/4" wide black. Every other one fell apart before I could cinch it down.

Is this normal for them?

Maybe a bag of VERY old ties?!... One that was stored under the wrong conditions?!...

Maybe a bag of a mucked up production run?!...

Either way, because the low value I'm sure Ancor will make it good... Probably much more then that...

I stopped buying ancor tires because of too many failures. Especially when cold.

Panduit with the Stainless steel lock are the best. You get what you pay for. I only use Panduit ties

Before a total career change, at work we only used Panduit for plastic ties, with the Panduit gun to apply them without over tightening, and the gun would cut the "tail" off flush, with no flesh-cutting stub.

All tower and outside work, however, only got stainless tie-wraps...zero UV or rodent damage.
