Default Adding a second Garmin screen

I'm ready to add second Garmin screen to my boat. I'm currently running a 1040xs with a SS 175M and the standard side view transducer that it came with. I'm considering adding a 7608 for a second screen. Which side view down view transducer do I need for fishing under 200"
Also would it make sense to get rid of the 1040XS and get a 942 0r 942XS? It seems like I could share all the information from the 7608 on the 942 and have two touch screens and get rid of the GVC10 box?
Thanks

For Side / DownVu..at 200'...look at the GT51-TM if going wiht the 7608xsv.
If you go to the 7608xsv then the SS175 will go to the 8 pin port..and the GT51 to the 12 pin port.

And then you can network to a second touch screen unit of your choice.

Listen to SemperFi. He knows his stuff. If you get rid of your existing head unit, I might be interested in it, as I'm still old (or SUPER-old) school.
