Default Lightning Strike - Electronics

We had a lightning Strike take out most of our electronics. All were replaced as a precaution.

Included were Yamaha Command link & ECM and related Electronics, EPIRB, Stereo, VHF, Raymarine Chart Plotter & Sonar, Navionics Card, Antenna, FF Module, Speakers and Lights, Etc.

I assume most of this stuff is fried, either partially or totally. Before I take it all to a dumpster is there any Charity or marketplace for such stuff? Are the components potential usefull? All of this stuff either did not turn on, or did not function properly after the lightning Strike.

You could put it on eBay or the parts forum, somebody will buy for parts. Where are you located, if close I would take a look.

If the stuff is cosmetically okay we will purchase it to use on refurbishments where clean chassis or bezels are needed. Call me 7542206565

Insurance claim? Most companies want you to at least hold on to the stuff for a year.

Max, IMHO you should at least add a footer to your posts... Unless you know it's not at all obvious that mstyle8517 equals Max Marine Electronics...

Also, THT does allow changing the posting name in special cases... IMHO you should consider asking for that...
