With all the new features available on color GPS/SOUNDER/RADAR displays I was wondering if anyone ever thought it may be a good idea to include state regulations on size and bag limits? Maybe a color pic of the fish species for easier identification would be nice also?
I know these would change often but some electronics manufacturers already offer quick updates of their electronics software. I wouldn't mind having a ready set of regulations with some info on the species availble on a memory card. The color pics for id would be kinda handy also especially when dealing with deep drop or reef fish. You could pay a small fee and update every year or so.

They could simply make the regulations part of it, editable. The manuf.'s woukld not want to bother updating the regs for each state and county.... every year.... But they could easily give you a picture of the popular species, with some basic details, and let you enter in your local regs (i.e. 5 fish at 18").
I've asked several times for a Notes feature. Why not let me enter in some notes, save them and let me download them onto the chip and take back to my PC or vice versa... How often are ya looking for a dry peice of paper and pencil to write a phone # or postion, or boat name... down....
cool idea though...

Paul- If C-Map does include , or may be about to include this sort of info on your chartware could you post here for the rest of us? It sounds handy but I'd think it would be difficult to keep that info up to date . Even the states' websites are often not up to date with current (rec.)regs. Thanks -Sandy
