Default Linking Garmin echoMap and Striker

Won a Striker 7sv for working at the same place for 16 years. I currently have a echoMAP 74sv mounted on my console and plan to mount the Striker on the bow. Will these units link via NMEA 0183 or whatever you call it? If so, how do I go about making that happen?

Also, can I run these units off the same transducer? Current one I believe is the GT41.

Thanks

Congratulations...

Yes, you can share waypoints and routes (But not sonar images) ....between your two units...using the NMEA wiring.
The striker and the 74sv have to use their own transducers...they cannot share one.

P.S...Getting Striker is better than getting a watch...

If I need a watch I'll go to Walmart and get the $15 one.. Having another unit on the bow while bass fishing will help so that I don't have to keep going back to the console to make sure I'm in the depth I want
