Default DeLorme inReach SE 2-Way Satellite Communicator

With black Friday coming up I was thinking about picking one of these up. If you have one or had one, how do you like it? Please don't comment if you don't have one or had one.

Thank you

Have first generation model, works well to real time text from areas without cell or radio reception mapping and GPS function exceptional with quick refresh times interfaces with smart phone or tablet current models eliminate that need since built in screen. Monthly fee or seasonal packages available.

I have one and love it, great to be able to be in communication at all times. Great to be able to text 100 miles offshore. The cost is cheap for what it offers.

Works well in remote Alaska (very remote).

It connects to your phone via bluetooth making it much easier to text . . .

I have one and love it as well. I ended up getting rid of my satellite phone because I was never using it once I got the Delorme. Particularly on long multi-day trips when I'm doing deliveries it's nice to use the tracking feature and send the link to family/friends so they know where I am at all times.

Had mine for a little over 3 years and love it. Weather I'm doing a multi day trip offshore around the islands or traveling down south into Baja this thing works as advertised. Always get coverage no matter where I'm at. Being able to receive a response is the clincher for me.

Great device.

It syncs right up to my iphone and texting is a breeze.

Fees are pretty reasonable.

It was a piece of cake to discontinue service until next summer.

Two thumbs up.

This. Use your phone and connect to bluetooth and you can text anyone you want really easy.

You can also cut the plans off and on when you want depending on your usage.
