Default JL speakers / Wet sounds amp?

I hear the wet sounds SD6 is an amazing amp! I am not a fan of the wet sound grills. Would it be feasible to install JL speakers because i like the look better and wet sound amp? Would I hear any difference in performance?

The SD6 is an amazing amp. This combo will work fine. Once mounted, the Wet Sounds speakers blend in much better than the JL fwiw

The performance of the sd6 is amazing. Pair it with some 7.7's or 8.8's and be amazed. The power and sound quality is exceptional. On a some WS 808's same deal. IMO under way the WS tweets outshine the jl conterpart. Not knocking the 8'8's I just prefer the 808's. We turn the grill so it's an x and it blends better and had a whole new look.

^^^^ THIS ^^^^ I have two sets of the 808s powered by the HTX-6. I didnt need the power/performance of the SD6, but it is top of the line. I agree with everything Dock said. I might be picking up a 12" wetsounds sub from DOCKHoliday here soon to complete my system. You cant go wrong tho mixing JL with wetsounds amp.

Yeah the htx6's have tons of power for their size and price. Once you hear WS speakers on a boat they are hard to beat.

The JL's sound great. The I find most of the Wet Sounds grills hideous but they recently released some new ones that are white and a lot more conservative looking. I'm very happy with my JL's

David this is a little trippy! If you focus on the silver grille it looks like an X but if you look hard and focus on the speaker (black part) it looks like a cross! I like it

It comes out looking really cool. Even better with the mesh style grilles.
